Carly Johnson Fenimore, MS, RD, LDN has experience in the field of nutrition and dietetics for over 7 years. In addition to spending the past 5 ½ years in the hospital and acute care setting, recently, she has increased both her knowledge and experience to include sports dietetics. Carly enjoys working with clients to meet their healthy lifestyle goals and improve their athletic performance. Of specific interest to her are gut-related diseases including Crohn’s disease, Celiac, and the use of FODMAPs. Additionally Carly has experience dealing with various disorders and disease states including renal, cardiac, and endocrine systems. Her passion for nutrition has expanded beyond her job to her involvement with the Charlotte Dietetic Association, where she has served numerous roles on the board over the past 6 years including President (2012-2013) and Legislative Chair (2014-2016). Currently on the state-level, she is serving on the Strategic Planning Committee for the North Carolina Dietetic Association (NCDA). In 2014 she was the recipient of the NCDA’s Young Registered Dietitian of the Year award. Carly received her undergraduate degree from Clemson University and her Masters degree in Human Nutrition from Winthrop University. In her free time she enjoys volunteering in her community, assisting with coaching for South Mecklenburg High School’s Swim Team, playing and watching sports, spending time with her husband, Mark, their dog, Lily, and making memories with family and friends.
